Since Bissler & Sons was founded in 1913, there has been one thought and one direction… To serve the needs of this community in an honest, dignified, and economical manner, with dedicated personnel. Bissler & Sons will continue to perpetuate the ideals upon which this business was founded.

The General Price List was prepared to help you and your family select the type of funeral cememony you desire. We will be glad to discuss all aspects of this list with you and help you choose only those options that you feel necessary in planning the funeral ceremony of your choice.

The prices on this list are for goods and services that we provide. Complete lists of caskets, vaults, and urns are available at the funeral home. Our prices are based on thorough analysis of our operating costs and continually monitored to assure you the highest standards of quality at a reasonable price. We invite you to compare our pricing structure with other funeral homes. However, in that comparison, one must be careful to evaluate like goods and services as well as the total price. Some funeral homes will underprice their service charges and overprice their merchandise. The merchandise itself must be considered on the same level (the gauge or thickness of metal caskets, the workmanship and quality of hardwood caskets, the reinforced strength of burial vaults, etc.)

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

This price list is offered to comply with the Federal Trade Commission’s Trade Regulation Rule; Funeral Industry Practices 16 CFR Part 453. Our fees are established in consultation with a professional accounting firm, exclusively serving funeral homes.

Services of Funeral Director & Staff: $2,345.00

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details with those involved in the funeral service; securing, preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations, and consents; clerical and record keeping. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you selected. This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.

International Arrangements/Coordination of Repatriation $ 995.00

Embalming $ 695.00

Other Preparation of the Body $ 300.00

Extra Care of Autopsied Remains/Anatomical Gifts $ 200.00

Basic Care of Unembalmed Body (Wash, Bathe, Disinfect) $ 200.00

Mailing of Cremated Remains (within state of OH; additional $100 out of state) $ 125.00

Refrigeration/Sheltering of Remains (per day) $ 100.00

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as a direct cremation or immediate burial.

Forwarding of Remains to another Funeral Home: $3,275.00

This charge includes: 24 hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; embalming; other preparation of the body; transfer of remains; utility vehicle; and local transportation of the deceased to the airport (excludes shipping charges).

Receiving Remains from another Funeral Home: $3,275.00

This charge includes: 24 hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; other preparation of the body; transfer of remains; utility vehicle; local transportation of the deceased from the airport; local transportation of the deceased to the final place of burial; and use of staff and equipment for graveside service.

Direct Cremation: (Crematory Fee Extra) $2,895.00 to $20,890.00

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; other preparation of the body; transfer of remains.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without outside covering). The containers we provide are cardboard with wood bottom inserts.

 A.Direct Cremation with any casket selected from our funeral home (service only) $2,895.00

   Range of direct cremations with a casket from our Selection Room $3,990.00 to $20,890.00

 B.Direct Cremation with a container provided by the purchaser $2,895.00

 C.Direct Cremation with an alternative container $3,150.00

Immediate Burials: $3,675.00 to $21,670.00

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; other preparation of the body; transfer of remains; utility vehicle; use of staff & equipment.

 A.Immediate Burial with any casket selected from our funeral home (service only) $3,675.00

   Range of immediate burials with a casket from our Selection Room $4,770.00 to $21,670.00

 B.Immediate Burial with a container provided by the purchaser $3,675.00

(Viewing/Visitation and a Funeral Service, followed by Cremation)

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general & administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, coordinating service details with those involved in the funeral service; securing, preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations and consents; clerical and record keeping; transfer of remains; embalming; other preparation of the body; viewing & visitation; funeral ceremony at funeral home or other location.

Contemporary Cremation Service $3,625.00
(Cremation followed by a Memorial Service, Visitation, or Celebration of Life)

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general & administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, coordinating service details with those involved in the funeral service; securing, preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations, and consents; clerical and record keeping; transfer of remains; refrigeration of remains; memorial service, visitation, or celebration of life at funeral home or other location.

Cremation with Graveside Service $3,295.00
(Cremation followed by a ceremony at the cemetery)

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general & administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, coordinating details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations and consents; clerical and record keeping; transfer of remains; refrigeration of remains; graveside service 

Direct Cremation $2,895.00
(Cremation without any formal public ceremonies or services)

This charge includes: 24-hour accessibility; general & administrative expenses; arrangements conference with a licensed funeral director; planning, supervising, coordinating details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations and consents; clerical and record keeping; transfer of remains; refrigeration of remains.

Containers: Cremation containers range from $255.00 to $ 17,995.00

             (Includes Mahogany, Cherry, Oak, Maple, Pine, Poplar, Ash, Cloth Covered Wood & Cardboard.)

Urns: Cremation urns range from $195.00 to $2,995.00

Vaults: Cremation urn vaults range from $130.00 to $1,200.00
