ELINORE ELVA (RUSSELL) VANKIRK

Elinore went to be with her beloved husband Charles (Chuck) on September 2, 2019.  Born September 14, 1932, to Nelson and Frances (Beal) Russell in Brimfield, Ohio, she was beloved mother to Arlie Taylor (Ted Bixler) and Amelia (Packy) Crago, grandmother to Caroline Taylor, Margaret Taylor-Harvey, Amanda Crago and Charles Russell Crago, great grandmother to Cadence, Sullivan, Shiloh and Oliver Crago and Sara Francisco. She was a beloved “third gramma” to Adam Crago and April (Walt) and Tyler Hamrick and aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind beloved friend and “non biological daughter” Susan Stiffler-Miller and her daughter Mikaila.

She was a retired school cafeteria manager who loved to cook, crochet, do crossword puzzles and read.  She and Chuck visited all 50 states and most of the Canadian provinces.  She was a third-generation life-long member of Brimfield Faith United Methodist Church, where she and her red hats will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Brimfield Faith United Methodist Church on Friday, September 6, at 7:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather in the church social hall following the service for ice cream and cookies – her favorite foods.
