Tara Leigh (Ludick) Jackson

Tara Leigh Ludick Jackson, age 63, of Kent, died on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Akron City Hospital.

Tara was born March 18, 1956 in Ravenna, to Glen and Barbara (Vincent) Ludick.  Tara was a member of the Kent United Methodist Church. She graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1974 and then received her bachelor’s from Kent State University.  She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving her country for 4 years, with assignments in Guantanamo Bay and Morocco.  She retired from the Kent State University Financial Aid office. Tara was the former Relay for Life Coordinator at Kent State University and led many other fundraising events for cancer research.  She was always willing to help those around her.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher and Jason Jackson; sisters, Laurel Ludick and Kerry MacQueen; brother, Paul Ludick; niece, Olivia MacQueen; nephews, Tyler and Cameron MacQueen; many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Barbara (Vincent) Ludick.
