Lois Wornoff Obituary
Lois Wornoff, age 71, of Kent, passed on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Hospice of Medina County, surrounded by her loved ones.
Lois was born January 18, 1948 in Cleveland, to Alvin and Frances (Jan) Schempp. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Kent. Lois worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. Lois loved gardening, blowing bubbles on the beach and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Kent Junior Mothers and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Henry "Hank" Wornoff Jr.; children, Henry "Hank" (Janie) Wornoff III, Heather (Andy) MacKinnon and Kimberly (Richie Blake) Wornoff; grandchildren, Sylvia Connors, Cayton Blake, Michael MacKinnon and Leeland Blake; siblings, Barbara Kilroy, Elaine (Matt) McNamara, Diane (Bill) Boyd, Al (Linda) Schempp and Joanne Schempp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Frances Schempp.
Calling hours will be held 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at St. Patrick Church in Kent. In her memory and in lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Kent State University College of Nursing. Donations may be made by calling 330-672-2222 and noting that it is for the "Lois Wornoff Memorial Contribution: KSU Nursing Scholarship".
