Mildred Gambaccini Obituary
Mildred E. Gambaccini, age 98, of Kent, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at The Gables at Kent Ridge.
Mildred was born May 24, 1920 in Suffield the late to Fred and Jennie Conley.
She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, hand quilter, and gardener. Her Silver dollar pancakes were a stable for the grandkids. All the family looked forward to Sunday dinner at grandmas. She was at St. Patrick's School for over 20 years, where she was the matriarch of the cafeteria. There she was famous for her pizzaburgers and peanut butter cookies. She was active with Catholic Daughters, Infant of Prague, K of C Auxiliary Womens, St Patrick Church Circles, Rosary Guild, Bereavement Meal Ministry, and Brimfield Garden Club.
She is survived by her sons, John (Carol) Gambaccini of Akron; Jerry (Ann Metzner) Gambaccini of Kent; daughters, Jane (Bill) Griffith of Kent, Jeanie (Doug) Hiestand of Kent; grandchildren, Jennifer, Charles, Edward, Jason, Stephen, Patricia, Elizabeth, Matthew, and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Husband of 49 years, Carl J. Gambaccini; father, Fred Conley; mother, Jennie Bauer; grandson, Christopher; sisters, Catherine Miller, Mary Kapper, and Cecilia Gambaccini.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 7, from 4 to 7 at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, Kent. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 8, at 10 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kent with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick School Endowment Fund. Family would like to thank the staffs of Kent Ridge Senior Living, and Harbor Light Hospice for their compassionate care.
