Myrl L. Rose, 86, of Kent, died on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his home.
Myrl was born April 11, 1932 in Ravenna to Roy and Myrtle (Anderson) Rose.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Rose of Kent; children, Odette Rose of Arizona, Myrl (Darline) Rose of Leage, TX, Robert Rose of Stow, Theresa Rose of Kent, Patricia Rose of Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Leota Rose of Kent; fourteen grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James Rose.
Dad loved flying his planes with the Corsair club. He was a member of Moose 1234, worked at Norton and Parker Hannifin each for 20 years. He was also great carpenter. He made many pieces of furniture for mom and all the kids. We didn't always have much but we always had each other. After 66 years of marriage and hundreds of "mishaps" with his planes, he is finally able to soar in the heavens.
Memorial mass will be held 10 am, Thursday, December 20 at St. Patrick Church with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. A gathering will be held immediately following the funeral mass at the Little City Restaurant. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's School Endowment Fund, 127 Portage Street, Kent, OH 44240 or St. Patrick's Church Memorial Fund, 313 N. DePeyster Street, Kent, OH 44240.
