Pamela Whitmire

Pamela M. Whitmire (70) passed away at her home in Clarkston, GA on 21 January 2019. Born 21 July 1948, she was preceded in death by her parents Ansel P. (Packy) and Phyllis M. Whitmire, and her brother Alyn P. (Packy) Whitmire. She is survived by her brother Philip Z. and sister-in-law Katharine A. Whitmire of Missouri City, TX.

Pam was a 1966 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent, OH and a 1970 graduate of Kent State University with a B.S. in Medical Technology. She had a long and successful career as a Certified Medical Technologist, retiring from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA in 2014.

Her work associates, friends, and family will miss her kindness, generosity, and quick-witted sense of humor.

Interment will be at the Whitmire family grave site in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, OH. A public memorial service will be held at the gravesite at 9 A.M. on Saturday, 6 July 2019.

The family requests that donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to the American Diabetes Association.
