Anthony T. 'Tony' Battaglia, 89, of Kent, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at his home.
He was born August 22, 1928 in Kent, to Nick L. and Providenza (Puleo) Battaglia. He was the owner of Kent Produce and Nick Battaglia & Sons Greenhouse for many years. Tony enjoyed and devoted all of his time to his family. A hard working and generous man he gave a piece of himself to everyone he met and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Maylene (Romeo) Battaglia, whom he married on July 19, 1952; children, Nicholas A. (Leslie) Battaglia of Peninsula, Susan (Dan) Battaglia Weeks of Kent and Anthony (Michele) Battaglia of Kent; grandchildren, Stephanie (Patrick) Rawson, Brandon (Megan) Weeks, Heather Battaglia, Caitlin (Brent) McNulty, Anthony Battaglia and Amber (Chris) Steinker; great grandchildren, Mayla Rawson, Lilah Rawson, Chase Weeks, Tessa Weeks and Cecelia McNulty; and sister, Ann Zampelli of Kent. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Mary Di Mauro, Angelo Battaglia, Paul L. Battaglia, Eleanor Levitsky, Amelia Giulitto, Josephine Ashton, Gloria Vitantonio.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday, August 3rd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, August 4th at Standing Rock Cemetery.
