Aidan Veney

Aidan Veney, 20, of Kent, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025. He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 2, 2005 and was a 2023 graduate of Bio-Med Science Academy where he captained the ESports team. Aidan was employed as an EMT with Lynx EMS Transport. He was proud to have been a Boy Scout with Troop #501 in Medina, Ohio. Aidan composed and published his own music, was a talented photographer, played drums alongside his dad as a member of Celtic Eagle Pipe Band, and enjoyed playing video games. Aidan and his dad also shared a love of riding roller coasters. He had a strong sense of justice and always spoke up when others could not. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by those who knew and loved him.

Aidan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Marcia Blum.

He leaves his parents Michael A. and Amy J. Veney; maternal grandparents Jane Rohacek and James Rohacek I; paternal grandfather John (Tammy) Barrington; uncles James Rohacek II, John (Heather) Veney, and Robert (Deloris) Veney; cousins Sarah (Ellen), Jack, Soren, and Hugo; and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers his parents request donations made in Aidan's name to the Portage Foundation LGBTQ+ Fund.
