Andrew "Drew" Stehney, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026.

Drew was born on October 24, 1979, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Charles and Valerie Stehney. He attended Hudson High School before continuing his education at Athen College and the University of Akron.

Music was the constant thread throughout Drew's life. As a DJ, he shared his love of jungle music with audiences throughout the Midwest, Northeast, and Florida. His passion eventually led him to co-found PPJ Recordings, an independent record label that developed a loyal following throughout Europe. As Head of Marketing, Drew combined his creativity, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of music to build friendships with people around the world.

While music was his passion, the people and companions he loved most were never far from his heart. Drew had an extraordinary love for his dogs, who were his faithful companions through every season of life. Their loyalty and unconditional love brought him comfort, joy, and peace.

Drew was also a devoted friend. He had a gift for forming genuine connections and was someone who showed up for the people he cared about. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, his friendships were marked by loyalty and kindness.

Above all else, Drew loved his mother. Through every chapter of his life, their bond remained steadfast. No matter where life led him, she was his constant source of love, strength, and home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Stehney, and his nephew, Lucas Stehney.

He is survived by his mother, Valerie Stehney; his brothers, Bradley and Charles (Melissa Chapman) Stehney; his sister, Mary Beth; his Aunt Mary Jane and Uncle Ed Schmidt; Aunt Pat Halko; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

He also leaves behind many cherished friends, including Aaron Frank, Mark Collins, Janet Stavole, Don McCune, Julie Chornak, Todd Flickinger, and countless others whose lives were touched by his friendship.

Though Drew's journey was not always an easy one, those who knew and loved him will remember the joy he found in music, the unwavering companionship of his dogs, the loyalty he showed his friends, and the deep love he held for his family. His memory will live on in the songs that remind us of him, the stories shared among friends, and in the hearts of all who loved him.

May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
