Carl A. Battagllia

Carl A. Battaglia, 55, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, November 2, 2026 at Akron General Medical Center. He was born in Ravenna on November 30, 1970 to the late Carl L. and Phyllis Battaglia and was a 1989 graduate of Field High School.

Carl was employed in maintenance at JoAnn Fabrics for 34 years until they closed. He then began working at Western Reserve Hospital, also in maintenance. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and smoking meat for BBQ’s. He had a huge heart and cared more about others than himself. Carl was a woodworker, loved his dogs dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Carl leaves his sister Nancy Ratcliff; brother Jim Laudermilk; significant other Melissa Litten; many stepchildren and step grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 5:00-7:00PM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. Graveside services will be Friday, November 6, 2026 at 9:30AM at Standing Rock Cemetery, 1361 N. Mantua St. Kent, OH 44240.
