Carmen Antonio Gliozzi, age 95, formerly of Kent, Ohio, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, surrounded by close family.
Born on March 4, 1930, Carmen was a proud first-generation American and the son of the late Julio and Christina (née Malerba) Gliozzi. He was the last surviving member of nine siblings and a beloved brother, uncle, and great-uncle.
Carmen worked for many years as a machinist, a role that reflected his precision and skill. Beyond his career, he truly thrived as a pilot and flight instructor, sharing his love of aviation through both full-sized and model aircraft. His passions were many — he was a car enthusiast, an artist, a dancer, and a figure skater — each reflecting his creativity, discipline, and zest for life.
Carmen enjoyed many lasting friendships and was deeply loved by his surviving nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, who will fondly remember his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. Carmen will be laid to rest in the family plot at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio.
