Claude E. Conkle Jr.

Claude E. Conkle Jr., age 65, of Rootstown, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Akron on March 15, 1960 and proudly served in the United States Navy. Claude was very patriotic and had a big heart. He enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting and woodworking and loved teaching those skills to his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father Claude E. Conkle Sr and his mother Carol A. Cagle.

He leaves his loving wife Susan Rosa; children Nicole and Alex; stepchildren Bill (Stephanie) Rosa and April (Gary) Dube; grandchildren, Michael (Jourdan) Rosa, Logan (Annie) Rosa and Jordyn (Mac) Cottingham; great grandchildren, Nevan, Luna and Leona Rosa and Onyx Cottingham; and his sister Terri Conkle.

In honoring his wishes, there will be a private graveside service for the family at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in his name, to The Wounded Warriors Project or the Disabled American Veterans.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff with Summa Hospice for the loving care provided to Claude.
