Claudia Ann Sattler

Claudia Ann (Lewis) Sattler, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 3, 1940 to the late Lee Curtis Lewis and Irene Rose Lewis.

After graduating early from Stow High School, she continued her studies at the College of Mary Washington in Virginia, Kent State University and the University of Akron. Claudia studied natural sciences, romance languages and the fine arts.

Claudia’s drawings and paintings were published and displayed in the United States and in Europe. She continued to create beautiful works of art at Bath Creek Estates via the ‘Opening Minds with Art’ program.

Claudia was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and always appreciated visits from Pastor Tritten. At Gloria Dei, Claudia enjoyed singing in the choir and attending Bible study groups. In addition, she made many, many beautiful quilts in the sewing club at Gloria Dei. Each quilt was truly a work of art. Claudia’s quilts were distributed around the world to those in need. Claudia continued to be appreciated for her unique gifts, and was much loved by her family, including her siblings, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Gardens of Western Reserve Hospice and Bath Creek Estates for their wonderful care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gardens of Western Reserve Hospice or to Bath Creek Estates.

Private graveside services were held at Standing Rock Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at a later date.
