Constance Glennon-Hall

Constance “Connie” Lee Glennon-Hall, 79, passed away peacefully, on December 22, 2025, after a long illness. She was born in Millville, NJ on September 12, 1946, to the late Ross P. and Mary Braxmeier Calkins.

Connie spent her childhood and youth in Port Elizabeth, N.J., and graduated from Millville High School in 1964. In 1965 she earned her associate degree from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. After graduating she moved to New York City to pursue a career with Vogue-Butterick Pattern Company.

In 1971 Connie married John (Jack) Glennon, also a graduate of Millville High School. They moved to Frederick, Maryland where she studied education at Hood College. In 1980 they moved to Hudson, Ohio. Connie enrolled at Kent State University where she earned a master’s degree in early childhood education.

Widowed in 1989, Connie later met Kenwood Hall. They married in 1994, creating a blended family. She then embarked on a rewarding 25-year career as a free-lance designer for Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Connie leaves behind her husband, Kenwood Hall, her sister Sharron Calkins; her children Brian Glennon and Jill Glennon (Adam Dale); her stepsons, Keith, Kevin, and Jeff Hall; and her granddaughters, Kat Dale, and Kiera Myles.

In her leisure time, Connie enjoyed crocheting, creating greeting cards, and jewelry design, donating much of what she made to area organizations focused on the needs of the community.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main Street, Kent, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial at Standing Rock Cemetery.
