David Lee Baker

David Lee Baker of Kent, Ohio, passed away in his home on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The oldest son of Robert and Annette Baker of Akron, he was born on October 11, 1947.

Dave was a graduate of Copley High School in 1965.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force in April, 1967, where he served four years in the 6947th Security Squadron and advanced to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Following service to his country, he continued his education at Kent State University where he ultimately earned a Ph.D from the College of Business Administration in May, 2012.

Dave is survived by a brother and his wife, a sister and five nieces and nephews.

He was laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
