Dorothy D. Tassone, 86, passed away Saturday June 9, 2012in Stow.
Dorothy was born July 8, 1925 and was a resident of Kent. She left a lifetime of work and many memories. Dorothy was a loved and cherished and will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Tassone; son, Dennis Bachtel; daughter, Beverly Houck; brother, Frank Elia; sister, Neva Lamb; and sister-in-law, Mikey Elia
Left to cherish her memory are sons, James (Clara) of Bandera, TX, Russell of Kent and Sam (Marilyn) of Ravenna; daughters, Connie (Bernie) of San Diego, CA, Dale of Cuyahoga Falls, Vickie (Don) of Tallmadge and Judy (Marty) of Ravenna; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and son-in-law, William Houck of Kent.
The family has requested that those wishing to honor Dorothy's memory can make a donation to the American Diabetes Association Akron Area Chapter, 4500 Rockside Road, Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131 or Alzheimer's Association C/o Alzheimer's Research, 70 W. Streetsboro Street, Suite 301, Hudson, OH 44236.
Calling hours will be held 4-8 PM Thursday, June 14th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 15 with Chaplain Mike Schaub officiating. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Park.
