Douglas David Martin

Douglas David Martin, age 67, of Kent, OH, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at UH Portage Medical Center.

Douglas was born August 12, 1958 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late John and Mary Lou (Loncoy) Martin.

Known for his hard work ethic, Douglas worked as a tow motor operator for Terry’s Tire Town for 30 years. He had a love of the outdoors, camping, family and most of all his love for his wife, Ana. He had a passion of working in this yard and the home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by wife, Ana (Perez) Martin; daughter, Dawn Schatzel; grandchildren, Anabelle, and Anthony Schatzel; siblings, Timothy (Dennis McClarren) Martin, John (Michelle) Martin, and Kathleen (James) DeLeone. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life gathering will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2026 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
