Gerald “Jerry” Zucchero, 88, of Kent, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 in the comfort of his home, with his family by his side. He was born in Alliance, OH on April 10, 1938 to the late Samuel J. and Alice K. Zucchero and was a 1957 graduate of Alliance High School.
Jerry was employed as a draftsman and designer with Morse Controls in Hudson. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and was a member of the Goodyear Flying Club. Jerry was a lover of classical music and playing the piano and was a military history buff, especially WWII. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Paul Zucchero.
Jerry leaves his five sons, Michael (Terri) Zucchero, Shawn (Keleigh) Zucchero, Tony Zucchero, Jason (Mandy) Zucchero and Dan (Amy) Zucchero; former wife Linda Zucchero; grandchildren, Anna, Grace, Ming, Cameron, Sean, Isabella and Graeme; brother Sam (JoDeane) Zucchero sister Patricia Keifer as well as nieces and nephews.
In honoring his wishes, Jerry will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 4:00-7:00PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Over Easy at the Depot, 152 Franklin Ave. Kent, OH 44240.
