Harvey C. Cook

Harvey “Buzz” C. Cook, age 95, of Kent, OH, died on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Harvey was born September 24, 1931 in South Huntingdon Township, PA to Charles and Idella (Meyers) Cook.

He served in the US Army as a tank mechanic, then went on to have a career at Ford’s Walton Hills stamping plant. Retired to Hyndman, PA then returned to Kent, OH to live with his daughter.

He is survived by his children, Victoria (Thomas) Weaver of Kent, OH, Jeffrey (Sherry) Cook of Streetsboro, OH and Gregory (Lorie) Cook of Hiram, OH; grandchildren, Stephen (Alexandra) Weaver, Ryan (Melissa) Cook, Jason (Morgan) Cook, Stephanie Cook (Brent Hyde), Michael (Heidi) Cook; great grandchildren, Harrison, Sawyer, Scott, Molly, Grady, Hazel, Benjamin, with two more on the way; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy (Bingman) Cook; parents; siblings, Charles, Robert, Lois, and Catherine.

In honoring his wishes, Harvey will be cremated, and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
