James Jay “Jim” Andrews, age 83, passed away on March 5, 2026, following an aggressive four-month battle with neuroendocrine cancer.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 5, 1942, Jim attended Kent State University and began his career in banking at Society Bank, rising through the ranks to Vice President of Information Technology. He continued his I.T. career in the industrial electronics industry and ultimately returned to banking I.T. until his retirement, during which he expanded his passion for woodworking. Jim was known for his leadership, integrity, kindness, support, and willingness to assist colleagues.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James R. Andrews and Margaret E. Andrews. He is survived by the love of his life, Susan (née Kelley), whom he married on June 16, 2001; his sons, Christopher (Johanna) Andrews and Matthew Andrews; stepdaughter, Jennifer (James) Lampe; stepson, Michael Ewing; grandchildren, Noah and Addison Andrews and Charlie Lampe; and his devoted sister, Kathy (James Plaster) Marshall.

Jim leaves a legacy of kindness, generosity, friendship, and devotion. We cherish the love and memories shared.

Memorial services will be held at The Church in Aurora in Aurora, Ohio, 146 S. Chillicothe Road, Aurora, Ohio 44202, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 3:00 P.M., followed immediately by a gathering reception.
