James Dennis Cook

James Dennis Cook, 68, of Kent, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, after a battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born in Ravenna to James and Ethel Cook on December 23, 1956. Friends and family knew him as Jim. He was married for 40 years to his wife Deborah Cook. He was employed by Klaben Ford in Kent for 40 years. Jim epitomized what it meant to be a family man. He loved to spend time with his family, watch sports and work on home improvement projects. Jim was a quick-witted prankster. He was patient beyond measure and always willing to help. Jim was the cornerstone of his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James Donald Cook and Ethel Mae Cook and brother-in-law Rick Nance. He leaves behind his wife Deborah; daughter Lindsey Crawford, son-in-law Patrick Crawford; his son Ryan Cook and daughter-in-law Ashley Cook; four grandchildren; sister Donna Palmerton; brother-in-law Kirk Palmerton; and sister Diane Nance.

There will be a private family graveside service at Standing Rock Cemetary in Kent. Services are in the care Bissler and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.
