Jonathan Goodwin

Jonathan Goodwin passed away January 3rd, 2026 from prostate cancer, He was 76 years old.

He leaves behind sister, Judi Bray; brothers, Jerry Goodwin, Jeffrey Goodwin (Mary); and daughter, Jennifer Baldwin.

Jon grew up in Kent and attended high school at the University School, went on to Kent State University to get his teaching degree and he finished with his law degree from Akron University.

Jon was always busy. He started working on cars at an early age and continued all through his life. His greatest joy came from helping others. He was right there to offer a hand. He enjoyed riding his Harly Davidson motorcycle, going to hear music, and being with friends.

A Celebration of life will be held in the summer.
