Laurel Archer

Laurel Archer, 79, of Brady Lake, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Summa Health Systems Akron City Hospital. She was born in Ravenna on March 24, 1946 to the late Marvin and Helene Young and was a graduate of Kent State University High School.

Laurel retired from Portage County Social Services and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family and friends and going to the casino. She was the biggest fan of her son’s bands and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Laurel leaves her son Denny (Melissa) Archer; grandchildren, Denny Archer and Chris Caudill; great grandson Ansel Archer; brother Robin Young and her best friend Patty Hashman.

In honoring her wishes, Laurel will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 6:30PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 S. Water St. Kent, OH 44240.
