Marilyn Diane Castleman, 72, of Ravenna, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
She was born in Memphis, TN. On November 28, 1952, to the late James and Eva (Dockery) Wooten.
She grew up in Memphis and went on to work for the IRS. She has lived in California, New Mexico, and later moved to Ohio. In later years she would work in the Personal Care field at nursing homes, private homes, and Hospice Care.
She loved Volleyball and was a Football Fanatic. She was a giving person and would take care of those in need. She loved the Lord and served Him daily. She enjoyed hiking and during one of those hikes in the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico, she met her future husband, Edwin Castleman.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Castleman (who later passed away on July 30, 2025); her children, Philip Evans (Anna), Joshua Evans (Dana), Kristiana Evans (Jason); grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Dominique, Eric, Carolina, Joshua Jr, Victoria, Kayla, Jaydn, Lani, Skye, Zoey, and Evan; also great-grandchildren; her siblings, Alfreda (Wooten) Taylor, Meah Wooten, Barbara Wooten, Elaine Wooten, and Joseph Wooten; Shis predeceased by her siblings, Charles Wooten and Curtis Wooten.
Marilyn had a private burial at the Foxfield Preserve Cemetery. Her life is an example of service to the Lord and service to those in need. We will miss her dearly.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:9).
