Marilyn Louise Dilley

Marilyn Louise Dilley, loving wife and mother, age 89, of Kent, OH, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.

Marilyn was born January 31, 1936 in Johnston, OH to Samuel and Evelyn (Draa) Barto.

She was a 1954 Graduate of Gustavus High School, married in 1955 to Ronald Dilley, moved to Kent in 1963. Member of Kent United Church of Christ, and Red Hot Steppers. Enjoyed time with her special tennis ladies’ friends. Volunteered sewing the capes for Kids Capes of Courage. Former Campfire Girl and Cub Scout Troop Leader. And a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ronald Dilley; daughter, Cindy Dilley; sister, Carol Arnio; brothers, Raymond “Buzz” Barto, and Sam “Butch” Barto; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Dilley; sisters, June Banning, and Helen Bonar.

Calling hours will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, May 9, 2025 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, Ohio 44240. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Kent United Church of Christ, 1400 E Main St, Kent, OH 44240 with Rev. Amy Gopp officiating. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers go have time with friends and family, planting flowers or going to a Guardians game.
