Mary Rose Simbulan Kidd

Mary Rose Simbulan Kidd “MAYO”, loving wife and mother, age 40, passed away on May 20, 2025 in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side, following a lengthy battle with Breast Cancer.

Mary Rose was born on January 12, 1985 in Taguig City Metro Manila Philippines, to the parents of Salvador and Lusia Simbulan.

Mayo immigrated to the United States in September of 2009 marrying on December 12th to George Kidd at the Church of Christ in Cuyahoga Falls, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Her ferocious enthusiasm for life, thrill to travel, exploring her newfound freedoms, savage appetite for food, and her outgoing and very social well-being made her a very lovable individual. She was a devoted mother to two sweet girls, always putting her family first. Her unwavering support and encouragement not only shaped the lives of her children, but all those around her. Mayo was a shining light in all of our lives, and her kindness touched everyone she met. She was an inspiration to all of us who were fortunate enough to call her a friend.

She is survived by her husband of over 15 years, George Kidd; daughters, Natalie Simbulan Kidd and Gabriella Rosalee Kidd; mother Luisa Simbulan; siblings, Mary Grace Simbulan-Senier and husband Jonald Senier, Mary Joy Simbulan-Casteel and husband Brandon Casteel, Adrian Joseph Simbulan and wife Carina Simbulan, Peter John Simbulan and wife Joselene Simbulan, and Ryan Jay Simbulan and wife Rio Rose Simbulan.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Church in the Falls, 837 Chestnut Blvd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Visitation will be prior to the service from 3:00-4:00pm on Wednesday at the church. In honoring her wishes, Mary Rose will be cremated following services and will be laid to rest, alongside family members, at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Columbus, Ohio.
