Rachelle R. Hunley

Rachelle R. Hunley, 59, of Ravenna, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH on April 16, 1966 and was a 1983 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School.

Rachelle was employed as a property manager and commercial cleaner for many years. She enjoyed cooking for anyone and everyone. She welcomed you into her home as though you were family. Rachelle loved having cookouts and family dinners. She loved her grandchildren dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Gladys Townsend; daughters, Jennifer Hunley and Amy Townsend; sister Michelle Townsend and Grandmother Geraldine Snodgrass.

Rachelle leaves her husband Ricky Hunley; daughters, Michelle Bell (Rusty Giffin), Tabitha Townsend, Amanda Smith, Tiffeny Townsend (Jamirin Mack) and Rikki Hunley (Blake Flick); her father Glen Townsend; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and her brothers, Craig Townsend and Clifton Lee.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 2:00PM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00PM-2:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held, following services, on Tuesday at 3:30PM at The Brady Lake Clubhouse, 2036 Walton Rd. Kent, OH 44240.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to the American Cancer Society.
