Robert “Bob”, “Bear” Eddy, 71 of Kent, OH passed away in his home on the morning of September 11, 2026.
Born July 28, 1955, in Sistersville, West Virginia to Robert and Susan Eddy. Bob was a man whose life revolved around his family and friends.
Bob was a devoted family man, he married the love of his life, Susie, in 1974. Together they shared 52 years of marriage and raised four children.
Throughout the years of raising his children, he was a constant fixture at the local sports fields where he spent countless hours volunteering as a youth football and baseball coach. He did not just teach kids about the game; he taught them about teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence.
As his children grew up and had families of their own, Bob stepped into his most precious and favorite role of being a grandpa. He became the ultimate fan. Traveling to every game his grandchildren played, rain or shine. You could always find him in the stands, wearing the team colors and cheering them on.
