Roger Dean Muzia

Roger Dean Muzia, age 72, of Kent, OH, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at UH Portage Medical Center. A talented and highly regarded architect, “Roge” was a notable figure in his community and helped everyone who walked through his office door.

Roger was born November 23rd, 1952 in Austin, TX to the late Frank and Marian (Skarda) Muzia and was a lifelong University of Texas alumnus. (Hook Em’ Horns!)

He was a great mentor, partner, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Known for his storytelling, his kind nature and optimistic attitude left an impression on everyone he met. The world was brighter because of his love and passion. Simply put, he was unforgettable.

Roger is survived by his life partner, Sunshine Delaluz, as well as his daughter, Theresa Nott, his son, Matthew Muzia, and three grandchildren: Claire, Sebastian, and Spencer. May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.
