Shane Ballinger

Shane Ballinger, 40, of Streetsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Shane was born in Cleveland on January 28, 1982 and was a loving and kind soul.  He cherished being a father, enjoyed the outdoors, parks, and Lake Erie.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Shane leaves behind his loving daughter, Elise Ballinger; mother and step-father, Ellen and Dave Leonardi; brother, Shawn Ballinger (Danielle); grandfather, Daniel Leonardi; aunts and uncles, Kevin and Anita Dunlay, Lisa and Daniel Werner, Brian and Cheryl Dunlay, Joy Lucas, and Debra (Barney) Nowicki; Shane was loved by his cousins; Ryan (Samantha) and Erin Werner (fiancé Jeff), Evan (fiancée Kacie), Alaina, Michael (fiancée Amanda), Sandy and Casey Dunlay, Nicholas (Dana) and Carley Kuznic; Coco and Hannah Lucas, Danielle (Robert) Scurfield, and Britney (Ryan) Dobroka.  Shane was preceded in death by his father James Ballinger.

To all whose lives have been touched by Shane: Please forget that Shane had stumbled and sometimes fell by the way.  Remember he had fought some hard battles and always loved.  Shane was deeply loved by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Columbkille Catholic Parish 6740 Broadview Rd. Parma, Ohio 44134.

A Celebration of Life will follow the mass at Chippewa Place 7005 Stadium Dr. Brecksville, OH 44141.
