Alvin H. Brown Jr.

Alvin H. Brown Jr. “J.R.”, 59, of Brimfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his home.  Alvin was born on March 29, 1963 in Ravenna, Ohio to Alvin H. and Mildred L. (Felton) Brown.  Al was a 1982 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School, attended Akron University and was the owner of Al Brown Construction.  

Al has worked in construction since he was 13 years old, and built the business, with his father, from new roof and remodels to building new homes.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to fish, hunt, trap and had a beautiful garden.  Al loved spending time with family and the family dog, Jay.  He was a huge sports fan and attended many of his nieces and nephews games as well as professional sporting events. He was the best son, and brother and would do anything for anyone.  

He was a member of the American Legion, National Trappers Association, and the Division of Wildlife.  

Survivors include his father, Alvin H. Sr.; sisters, Angel (Scott) Brandner, Dawn (Tim) Prince, Rebel (Tom) Bigler and Robin Cooper; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred L. (Felton) Brown.  

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at Eldorado’s, 1331 S.
