Amanda Jane (Young) McClave

Amanda Jane King McClave, age 73, of Portsmouth, OH, passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Amanda was born May 8, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH to Peter and Margaret (Jones) Young. Amanda's smile could light up a room and her laugh was infectious. She was an amazing mother to her son, Justin, whom she loved with all her heart. She was also an incredible friend to all who knew her.  She was kind, genuine, fun-loving, and always ready for an adventure. She listened without judgment and loved without condition. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by the many lives she has touched.

She is survived by her son, Justin (Jennifer) King, her brother Pete (Mikiko) Young, Sister-in-Law Sally Schumann (Bill), Brother-in-Law Donald (Susan) King, nieces Tanya Salopek, Stacey Reder, Arin Gilbert, Danielle Salopek, Shayla Reder, Sierra Gilbert, and Kelley (Gary) Labajetta and nephews Casey King, Matt Salopek, and Thomas (Patty) Reder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry King; brother Colin Young, brother-in-law Robert King, brother-in-law Richard Haas, sister-in-law Sunnie Stutzman, niece, Tami Haas, and parents, Peter and Margaret Young.

Calling hours will be held 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Friday, December 10, 2021 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by a Memorial Service with Kevin O'Brien officiating.
