Ann I Bilanych

Annie “Ann” Irene Bilanych was born August 19, 1927 in Kent. She returned to the Lord on January 10, 2021 at the age of 93. Ann was the daughter of Joseph Bilanych and Pearl (Duda) Bilanych and was a lifelong resident of Kent.

She was a devout Catholic and received her First Holy Communion at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Kent. Ann graduated Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education and a minor in Home Economics. She was skilled in shorthand and worked at Twin Coach and the Kent State University Speech and Hearing Clinic. Ann retired at age 62.

She enjoyed bird-watching, sewing and crocheting. She also collected stuffed teddy bears. The last years of her life were spent residing at the Gardens at Liberty Park in Streetsboro, where she was beloved by the residents and staff.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers, Robert, George, and Steve Bilanych. She was extremely proud of her brothers’ military service to this country. She is survived by a second cousin, Mira (Staruch) Oryshchyn, of Windsor, Ontario Canada.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, January 22nd with an hour prior of visitation.  Burial will be follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
