Anthony Francis Filomena

Anthony Francis "Tony" Filomena, age 87, of Kent, died on March 28, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center.

Anthony was born February 23, 1933 in Kent, to Joseph and Antonette (DelMonte) Filomena. Tony graduated from Ravenna High School, then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Upon returning home from the Navy, he was a Police Officer for the City of Kent retiring after 31 years of service.

He is survived by wife, Donna Filomena; sons, Joseph and Matthew Filomena; daughters, Toni Marie (John) Fontello and Kimberly Senderling; grandchildren, Sarah Filomena, Kory and Jenna Senderling; sister, Mary Ann (Al) Brode and Betty (Jim) Russell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Antonette Filomena.

Private services have been held. Memorials may be made to the Kent American Legion Post 496, 1945 Mogadore Road, Kent, OH 44240. Services in care of Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 West Main Street, Kent, OH 44240.
