Anthony C Thewes

Anthony "Tony" Thewes (81) of Kent, Ohio passed away peacefully at home with his family on March 31st, 2024. Tony was born October 8th, 1942, to the late Anthony and Mary (Roshong) Thewes. 

He was preceded in death by siblings, Ann Thewes, Ray Thewes (Marge), Cathy Dunlap (Gene), Mary Lou Aultmann (Claus), Irene Starr (Richard), and his forever beloved son, Carl Thewes.

Tony is survived by his wife and beloved partner of 33 years, Karol Thewes; his stepdaughter Danielle Mason (Bruce); and stepson Robert Chernek (Terry). He also leaves behind siblings Peg Dowling (Tom), Dorothy Shanower (Jack), Edie Shanower (Cal), Rose Thrower (Bob), John Thewes (Lynn), Betsy Hanson (Eric), and Patricia Sells (Ralph).  

Services for Tony will be held THURSDAY April 4th, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at St. Patrick Church, 313 N Depeyster St. Kent, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service at noon. Burial will follow immediately after at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers, we ask to send any donations to the American Cancer society in Tony's honor.
