Barbara Jean Hershberger, made her journey to Heaven on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She was born on April 24, 1940 in Mayfield, Ohio to the late Harvey and Eleanor (Roth) Bullock. She spent the majority of her life in the Kent and Tallmadge areas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving step mother, June C. Bullock and her beloved dog Angel.
Barbara is survived by her loving and adoring husband of 62 years, Thomas L. Hershberger. They were high school sweethearts. She also leaves her children, Scott (Sandy), Jody Wiley and Shaun (Kelly); grandchildren, Brittany (Cory) Screngi, Andrew (Dana), Kayla (Justin) Oberlin, Brenden, Kylie and Haley and nine great grandchildren.
She graduated from Kent State High School in 1958, then went on to Kent State University where she studied Architecture.
Barbara loved boating, camping, laying on her raft in the water and mowing her grass on her riding mower. Most of all she loved her family. She was dedicated to each and every one of them. She was so excited when she became a grandmother in 1987, her entire life became brighter. Barbara was the sweetest, most loving and caring person. She touched anyone's life who knew her. Her love for animals was incredible. Any stray was taken in and loved beyond belief.
