Beatrice "Beach" Marie Pizzute

"TOGETHER AGAIN" - Beatrice Marie “Beach” Pizzute, age 92, of Kent, Ohio passed away on April 15, 2024 at Eden Vista of Stow.  She was born on January 1, 1932 to Louie and Alma Johnston (nee Davis) in Clarksburg, WV. She moved to Kent, Ohio and met the love of her life, Jimmy Pizzute. They were married on February 19, 1954.

She retired from Kent City Schools as the Food Service Director, and also worked for Kent Parks & Recreation, where she assisted with summer youth programs.  She was an active member of Saint Patrick Church, and served as a Sunday School teacher.  She generously supported many local charities, and was especially passionate about helping the homeless.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, James Pizzute; sons, James, Jr. (Rudy) and Jeff; grandson, Shane Hardman; brother, Louie Johnston; and sister, Wilma Lantz.

She is survived by daughter Carmella DeLeone and dear son-in-law Michael DeLeone; and grandson, Victor DeLeone, all of Kent; granddaughter, Jessica Pizzute; and great grandchildren Gianna Pizzute and Natus Pizzute of Austin, TX; daughter-in-law, Karen Deaton of Georgetown, TX; sister, Yvonne White of Streetsboro; and sister-in-law, Julie Pizzute of Brimfield; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind dear friends who were her family: Lori, Lisa and Sylvia Donelson, Fred Wilson, Jane Kelsch, and Jaci Cirullo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. THURSDAY April 25th, 2024 at Saint Patrick Church, 313 N Depeyster St. Kent, OH 44240, with Rev. Fr. David Bridling as celebrant. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to mass. Interment at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kent Social Services, 1066 S Water St. Kent, OH 44240.
