Bill Nickol Obituary

Bill Nickol, age 77, was called home to be with his Lord unexpectedly on December 31, 2021.

He was born to Thomas and Hazel Nickol in Akron, Ohio and grew up with his 5 siblings in Stow, Ohio. After graduating from Stow High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served before receiving an honorable discharge in 1969. He went on to work at Chrysler in Twinsburg, Ohio where he retired after 37 years as a welder repairman.

Bill loved watching all sports and was an avid golfer. He golfed at Fox Den Golf Course since the 60's and after retiring he worked part time as a starter. It was his second home and he made many lasting friendships.

His true loves were his wife of 46 years, Judy Nickol, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his family. He was there for every recital, school play, baseball and football games or an afternoon of fishing. He loved his family beyond measure and he will be greatly missed. He was the kind of man that anyone would be proud to call Dad, Pop, Papa and Pa, and we were.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Christy (Bill) Walton; son Rob (Gail) Reinhart; granddaughter Stephanie (Sam) Williams; granddaughter Bri Walton; grandson Ethan Reinhart; grandson Evan Reinhart; great-grandchildren Noah and Everly Williams; brother Jerry Nickol; sisters Norma (Bob) Thoman; Nancy (Dave) Kellett Hentosz; Nita Nickol and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by wife Judy Nickol; brother Tom Nickol and parents Thomas and Hazel Nickol.

Special thanks to Hudson Grande Senior Living, where Bill lived the last 7 months. He loved the staff and the rapport he had with everyone.

Per his wishes, there will be a private ceremony with inurnment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
