Caren (Creamer) Young

Caren Young passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family on March 31, 2021.  It was her 78th birthday.  Caren was born in Akron to the late Dwight and Patricia Creamer.  She graduated from Our Lady of the Elms High School in 1961 and Michigan State University in 1965.  In life, Caren inspired many children in her nearly 30 years as a teacher. 

Caren will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, James Young; children, Christopher Young, Matthew Young and Susan Olsen; grandchildren, Lena and Anders Olsen; sisters, Kathleen Wolf and Barbara Brunot as well as nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH. 44240.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30AM at St. Mary Parish, 340 N. Main St. Hudson, OH. 44236, with the Rev. Fr. Scott Goodfellow as Celebrant. Covid -19 protocol will be enforced, masks are mandatory and six foot social distancing will be followed. Inurnment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.
