Carla Jean (Space) Bednar

Carla Jean Bednar, age 60, of Ravenna, died on Monday, February 17, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center.

Carla was born October 13, 1959 in Ravenna, to Alfred and Jeane H. (Hall) Space.

Class of 1978 from Ravenna High School.  Devoted wife and mother that loved cooking, crocheting, writing. Member of Turning Point Baptist Church of Limaville where she sang and maintained the church social media.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, George M. Bednar; daughter, Jessica (Jayson) Murphy; son, Jared Bednar; daughter, Jerrica (Gavin Watson) Bednar; grandchildren, Chase, McKenna, Ryan Murphy, and Ryleigh Watson; sister, Karyle Bechdel; brother, Carl Space; sisters, Cheryl Meyers, and Rhonda Deemer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeane H. Space, Alfred Space, and granddaughter, Kristen Murphy.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Lanham, and Rev. Todd Tackett officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Daniel J. Marino Cancer Fund, C/O Dave Marino or Rebecca Schneider, 301 S. Depeyster Kent, Ohio 44240, in care of the Kent Police Department.
