Christine Ann (Lesnak) Neff

The world lost a beautiful person on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Christine Ann (Lesnak) Neff, 58, of Kent passed away peacefully at home.

Born in Mantua on July 30th, 1961 to George and Nancy Lesnak.

If you’ve ever had a ride at the Akron Zoo on the ponies, Chris was probably your helper. Chris volunteered there for several decades. As an animal lover she rescued countless kittens, birds, and others. Chris was known to spoil her nieces and nephews for every holiday. Chris had a talent for making special birthday cards, and if you were lucky enough to get one you probably still have it. If she wasn’t in her Cavs shirt, she was sporting her Kent State Golden Flashes attire. She had a quick wit and a heart of gold. Chris spent countless hours coloring and crafting with her close friend Allison. She leaves behind two endearing friends, Sherri and Corean and their beautiful families.

Chris was so loved by her surviving mother, Nancy (Kotowski) Campbell; son, Mathew Lesnak; siblings, Mike Lesnak, Kathy (Ralph) Stanley and children, David, Emma-Jean and Annabel; John (Shannon) Lesnak and children, George and Grace; Mary Olds and children, Alexis, Stephanie and Zachary; George (Carolyn) Lesnak and children, Timothy, Rachel, Samuel, Emily, Nicholas and Abigail. Also survived by her stepmother Edie Lesnak and her children, Stacie, Kimberly, Lori and Jeanette. Chris was preceded by her father, George Lesnak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at St. Patrick Church with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. Please remember a face mask and 6 feet distancing if attending. Private burial at Bath Township Cemetery will follow.
