Courtney Erin Banks

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Courtney Banks, a loving daughter, sister, and mother of two, passed away at the age of 39.

Courtney was born on May 4th 1983 in Evanston, Illinois to Larry and Lori Banks. A graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in 2001, she was active in basketball and cheerleading. She attended the National Institute of Technology where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting. She left behind two beautiful daughters, Danica Jade Banks and Breanna Nicole Banks, whom she adored.

Courtney had a passion for being in front of the camera. She pursued modeling and would do modeling jobs on the side. She also had a passion for cosmetology and loved braiding hair, which made her known as the “neighborhood braider”. She had planned on going back to college to pursue her Bachelor's degree at Kent State University, but unfortunately, never got the chance.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Lori Banks; her two daughters Danica and Breanna Banks; sister Adrianne and family; brother Anthony and family; and her brother Christopher, as well as family and friends who loved her dearly.
