Curtis Stone of Brooklyn, Pennsylvania and Kent, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30 at The KentRidge Senior Living. He was born November 19, 1922, in Brooklyn, Pennsylvania, to Benjamin and Ethel (Palmiter) Stone. He grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Vocational High School as Salutatorian in 1940. Curt and Margaret and Sara were like a second family to those of us who lived in the Burt House in Smethport. After we moved to different places, we continued to meet for Thanksgiving. A great man!

My dad and his brothers grew up in Brooklyn with Curt , i met him in 1992 at the Montrose 4th of July races . He had his medals on display .
 pre  WW 2 my dad would load up his pals and drive his father's truck to Hop Bottom for "ice cream " he said Curt would run both ways .

Curtis Stone was a fabulous WWII 95th Bomb Group Veteran. He came to a reunion and lit up the room. America is a better place because of his attitude. A truly dedicated American Hero,. Michele Slade, Charlie Gallagher Angels.
