David Alan Ponick, Jr.

David Alan Ponick, Jr., 35, of Kent, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Aultman Alliance Hospital. He was born on July 23, 1986 in Ravenna to David Sr. and Kimberly Ponick.

David will be remembered for his love of Ohio State and always cheering on the Buckeyes.  He was a carpenter and truly enjoyed helping anyone and everyone that needed it, without question.  David lit up when he was around his daughter, Liv.  One of his greatest joys, was seeing a smile on her face.  He always cherished his time with her.

He is survived by his amazing daughter, whom he loved so much, Olivia; parents, David Ponick Sr. and Kimberly Ponick; brother Jason (Amber) Ponick; sisters, Kristina Ponick, Samantha Ponick (Corey Hartung); aunt Cindy; nephews and niece Dylan, Ayden, Alex and Kelsie.

In honoring his wishes, David will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  The family will be setting up a savings account for Olivia’s future.  A temporary Venmo account (@Olivia-Ponick) has been started until a savings account can be opened.  Please consider donations, in lieu of flowers.
