Donald Joseph Englehart
November 3, 1938 ~ October 4, 2023 (age 84) 84 Years Old
Donald Joseph Englehart, 84, a member of the Brimfield community for over 80 years, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Tamarack Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Ravenna on November 3, 1938 to the late Harley and Eleanor Englehart and was a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School.
Don was a general contractor and carpenter by trade and was also owner/operator of Portage Excavating. He loved restoring classic Mustangs and military Jeeps and was a member of numerous car clubs, military clubs and St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Don leaves his loving wife of 63 ½ years, Glenna Jean Englehart; children, Steven Englehart, Kimberly (Michael) Hlad and Lisa (Craig) LeMasters; grandchildren, Donnie Peters, Nicholas Clements, Cody Clements, Tanner Clements, Timothy (Trinity) Hlad, Kyle Hlad, Craig (Marissa) LeMasters Jr, Zack (Sarah) LeMasters, Rylan LeMasters and Parker LeMasters; great granddaughter Dakota Hlad and his sisters, Mary Ridenour and Kathy Englehart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 1:00PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 N. Depeyster St. Kent, OH 44240, with the Rev. Fr. David Bridling as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 4:00-7:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Ste 1509, New York, NY 10018 (parkinson.org).
