Elsie M. Bard

Elsie M. Bard, age 91, of Kent, died on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Altercare of the Western Reserve in Stow.

Elsie was born November 14, 1927 in Kent, to Augustus and Wilmetta (Brown) Austin.

She is survived by daughters, Cathie Benko and Dorothy (Martin) Banks; granddaughters, Heidi (Tom Sorgie) Benko and Heather (Penack Inamdar) Benko; great-granddaughters, Amelia Sorgie, Sophia Sorgie and Isipho Inamdar; sister, Metta Linnen; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bard; grandson, Austin R. Banks; parents, Augustus and Wilmetta Austin.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Standing Rock Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Portage County Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.  Services in care of Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 West Main Street, Kent, OH 44240.
