Gary D. Falstad

Gary Duane Falstad, age 90, of Kent, OH, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, surrounded by family in Deerfield, Ohio. 

Gary was born August 17, 1932 in Garrison, North Dakota to the late Eugene and Ella (Westburg) Falstad.  

He married Gloria Kuether (Minot, ND) in July 1955. They immediately traveled to Kent, Ohio where he had a new job waiting for him at Commercial Press, Inc. He started as a linotype operator. He then moved up to become President and he retired in 1999. He and his wife and two daughters (Gay and Debbe) and son (Paul) resided in Kent then moved to Twin Lakes. He was a member of the Kent Lions Club, Kent Jaycees and a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kent.   

He is survived by his wife Gloria Falstad; daughters, Debbe (Chuck) Noe, and Gay (Dan) Snyder; son, Paul Falstad; 14 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Blake, sisters Yvonne Hoover, Renee Serrin, nephew Kenneth, several Aunts, Uncles and friends. 

Calling hours will be held 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2022 at Faith Lutheran Church, 931 E Main Street, Kent, OH 44240.  Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Witt officiating.  Private burial at Standing Rock Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 931 E Main Street, Kent, OH 44240.
