Gregory Paul Smith

Gregory Smith, age 57, of Deerfield Township died on July 19, 2020. He was born December 27, 1962 to parents James H. and Joan Harriet Smith. Greg proudly served as a transportation controller in the United States Air Force and later went on to serve over 30 dedicated years at Cardinal Berry Packaging in Aurora, OH.

Greg was a loyal and honest man who was very protective of those he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always down for a good party. While he could be quite strong and stern, Greg loved his parents, family, and friends unconditionally. His friends and family will always remember that his hugs made you feel like you were in the safest place in the world.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Smith; sisters, Susan Smith and and Julie Babb. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Lynn Smith (Brian Heeter); brother, James Smith (Michelle); grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Ciara, and Jace; one niece; and three nephews.
