Harold Kandes Obituary
Harold A. Kandes, 91, of Ravenna, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in the comfort of his home, with his family by his side.
He was born in Akron on March 18, 1930, to the late John and Orpha Kandes. He was a 1948 graduate of Ravenna High School, where he excelled in baseball, basketball and football. Harold proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Ravenna.
He leaves his loving wife Alice, whom he married on June 30, 1951; son and daughter-in-law Harold Jr and Teresa Kandes; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Gilbert Travis; six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In honoring his wishes, Harold will be cremated and a private graveside service with military honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish at a later date.
